Role Brief
As a Senior Automation Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to offer expert software support for various manufacturing processes. You’ll play a vital role in designing, planning, and supporting the implementation of high-speed automation lines.
This position involves taking the lead in technical aspects such as PLC communications, vision systems, and RFID communications. You’ll coordinate efforts with suppliers to ensure successful automation and software support. Additionally, you’ll oversee the work of technical, validation, and junior engineering staff, collaborating with product teams, department heads, equipment manufacturers, R&D, quality control, and regulatory personnel
Skills Brief
- Expert knowledge on PLC programming with Allen Bradley/Siemens/Codesys controls systems.
- Expert knowledge of Cognex vision systems.
- Working knowledge of RFID communications.
- Experience in generation / execution of software test plans.
- Experience in FAT, SAT, commissioning & validation of high-speed automation equipment.
Person Brief
- Bachelor’s degree in Industry Automation, Mechatronics, Computer science, Electrical engineering or equivalent technical experience and demonstrated competence.
- Additional post-graduate education may contribute toward the desired years of experience.
- Typically requires 6+ years of significant engineering and / or operational experience to develop the competence to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position
- Engineers trained in one branch of the Engineering field may work in related branches of engineering provided demonstrated transferable skills.
