SL Controls has donated €500 to the Galway Simon Community.
We made the donation as part of our ongoing Share the Love campaign. Share the Love involves getting employees in each of our regional offices to nominate local causes in their area they think SL Controls should support. We focus on one regional office per quarter.
The nominations for that office are then shortlisted to three. Those three then go forward to a vote where all our employees, their friends, and their family can participate.
In the Share the Love campaign in our Galway office, Galway Simon Community won the vote.
The €500 donation will go towards the Galway Simon Community Essentials fund. This helps the organisation provide invaluable help and support to the community in Galway City and the County.

This work has never been more important as homelessness is growing faster in the West of Ireland than in any other region. The Galway Simon Community offers a range of services, including Homelessness Prevention Services that help people remain in their home when they are at risk of homelessness.
The Galway Simon Community always welcomes additional help so please visit its website if you would like to volunteer or donate.
You could even take part in the annual Sleep Out for Galway Simon Community. It takes place on Friday 5 October all over Ireland and aims to raise awareness of homelessness while also raising much-needed funds.
All funds raised during the Sleep Out go towards Homelessness Prevention Services.
There are five main locations for this year’s Sleep Out: Shop Street, Corinthians R.F.C., Tuam, Loughrea, and Rossaveel.
