Role Brief

The successful candidate will manage a highly significant and complex project for an NNIT Ireland client. This project involves the development of a new manufacturing site and will report directly to site leadership.

This project will involve a major program of work including both construction and IT/Technical aspects and the management of a range of internal and external stakeholders and vendors.

The construction element of the project will be managed by a specific PM but you will work closely with them and be expected to build a strong partnership and work towards an aligned goal.

Key duties:

  • Management and ownership of a major project budget and responsibility for maintaining budget and timeline parameters
  • Identification of all key stakeholders for project success.
  • Establishment of core project governance to maintain quality of project delivery.
  • Manage project documentation and artifacts.
  • Manage project life cycle documentation, like Risk Management, Risk Log, Business Impact Assessment, Project Schedule, Project Task List, Timeline, Communication Documentations etc.
  • Procurement of hardware, services, and resources, as needed.
  • Develop test plans with stakeholders.
  • Review and iterate on project plans as required to meet project budget and timelines.
  • Report into and inform senior leadership of project progress and ensure all challenges and potential delays are flagged in advance and solutions are delivered to ensure project success.

Skills Brief

  • Senior Program/Project Management experience in managing end to end projects involving site expansion/development or green/brown field site development.
  • Significant experience of owning responsibility for large scale CAPEX projects with budgets in excess of €20 mm
  • Proven experience reporting to site leadership / director level stakeholders
  • Proven working experience in managing cross functional teams.
  • Scrum Master certified.
  • Strong experience working in collaboration with Construction and Development focused PM’s and stakeholders and the ability to align goals and ensure a successful project plan.
  • Project Management professional fluent with waterfall, critical path management, agile frameworks, and tools.
  • A proven ability to Coordinate work with vendors and contractors, during project conception and implementation stages.
  • Experience of delivering large scale CAPEX projects in complex GMP (Pharma, Life Sciences, Medical Devices) manufacturing environments is essential.
  • Candidates who do not have 10 or more years experience in the GMP sector and exposure to delivering a number of large scale site expansion/development or green/brown field site development projects will not be considered.

Person Brief

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechatronics/Automation/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or a highly related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years’ experience in supporting and managing, new site build, site expansion, industrial automation and systems integration projects with a significant portion of this experience gained in a GMP (Pharma, Life Sciences, Medical Devices) environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills that inspire others and they will have have experience in leading cross-functional teams on complex technical challenges.
  • The ideal candidate should also have an agile mindset and the ability to adapt to and manage change.
  • Vendor Management experience is essential for the role.
  • A PMP / Prince / PgmP Certification is a requirement for this role.
  • Based within a commutable distance of the Dublin based manufacturing site or able to relocate within 1 to 2 months maximum as you will be required to be onsite a number of days each week.
