Share the Love is a quarterly campaign we run at SL Controls to support good causes and charities. It gives employees as well as their friends and family a say on which local charities and good causes SL Controls supports. It also helps focus our efforts on local projects.
Each quarter we run the campaign in a different region of Ireland based on the location of our regional offices. During this quarter, we are focussing on Galway.
The winning project will get a €500 donation from SL Controls plus other support. Here is the shortlist:
Pieta House
Pieta House provides support and treatment for people feeling suicidal. It also offers help and support to families who have experience of suicide. Donations to Pieta House ensures the future provision of free counselling services, among other things.
Galway Simon Community
Galway Simon Community works with over 100 people and families every year in the Galway area, preventing them from becoming homeless. Donations support this work which includes helping people stay in their own homes or resettling them in new homes.
CoderDojo
CoderDojo helps children as young as seven learn how to code. This includes everything from developing apps or games to building websites. It is volunteer led and is free for children to attend. Donations help support Galway’s CoderDojo clubs.
