SL Controls is using Valentine’s Day to encourage members of its team to Pay It Forward this week. This involves carrying out an act of kindness in the community or life in general.
“We want to spread goodwill and kindness throughout SL Controls and into our wider communities,” said Emer Feeney. “There are many types of Pay it Forward campaigns globally. It’s all about creating the cycle of generosity and good deeds. We thought Valentines was the perfect time to run the initiative.
“Plus, being kind has also been shown to have positive effects on our bodies. This includes reducing feelings of stress, lowering blood pressure, and more.”
“Employees that participate in the initiative are in with a chance of receiving an act of kindness from SL Controls – lunch for their team.”
Some of the Pay It Forward suggestions include:
- Donating to charity or a local cause
- Showing appreciation of others
- Donating blood
- Writing a positive review for a local business
- Sending a thank you card
