Role Brief

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a Factory of the Future, and act as conduit between the customer and technical teams ensuring a seamless path to market for a wide range of products, including products for unmet medical needs. Reporting to Project Management Lead, this Project Manager role will be client facing and responsible for managing projects through initiation, planning, execution and close out, ensuring client contracts are adhered to and revenue is recognized.

To be successful in this role, you must be very customer focused and demonstrate excellent communication skills, including stakeholder and risk management, and demonstrate the ability to effectively interface with all levels across the organization.

Some key tasks:

  • Lead multiple cross functional teams on site regarding the introduction of complex new projects (NPI) and tech transfer.
  • Be customer facing and support client meetings, scoping project plans and customer needs.
  • Lead all project meetings as per pre-determined communication plan, internally and externally with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop a project management process for tracking, reporting and recording progress and key milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing plants MFG 6 & MFG 7 to support new product introduction and client neecds. Using internal systems and working closely with scheduling and other support functions such as QC and MSAT
  • Responsible for managing risks, completing impact assessments and developing mitigation strategies and escalation as necessary
  • Collaboration with departments across the business including Manufacturing, QA, Supply Chain, Procurement, QC, Engineering and EHS to ensure the project needs are met.
  • Develop high level timelines and gantt charts, managing any changes and communication as required
  • Coordinate project communications and documentation as necessary ensuring relevant stakeholders needs are met. In addition, ensure strong documentation and traceability is managed accordingly

Skills Brief

  • A minimum of 8+ years’ experience working in a Biologics or similar GMP environment as part of Project Management, engineering, technical services or operations function.
  • Previous experience with direct client management is desired
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex projects with high impact is required
  • Technical / Engineering knowledge of Upstream and / or Downstream biologics systems and processes is desired.
  • Experienced in the management of complex cross functional projects.
  • Knowledge / experience in the operation of GMP.
  • A qualification in project management is required (PMP, Prince2 etc.)

Person Brief

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the industrial automation industry in a Life Sciences or similar environment.  

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills that inspire others and have experience in leading cross-functional teams on complex technical challenges. 

The role will be an onsite role and therefore you must be available to be onsite daily.
