Role Brief
As a Business Operations Associate, you are responsible for driving and implementing strategies that lead to the growth of existing client accounts and assessing the potential for new client accounts through proactive business engagement.
You will be responsible for managing the sales process for new prospects from initial contact to closure. This involves leading, managing and implementing the defined strategy with a focus on achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual targets in line with the overall company targets and objectives.
You will work closely with the Commercial Management Team to create and drive business growth strategies that will realise sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging long-term partnerships with clients.
You are expected to grow the SL Controls brand through tailored marketing initiatives with the objective of generating increased awareness of SL Controls core services to existing and new clients.
The Business Operations Associate will help ensure that a company culture of respect, dignity and continuous improvement is fostered for all employees in order to promote personal and career development in conjunction with the achievement of the overall company goals.

Skills Brief
- The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills:
- Preference will be given to candidates from an Engineering background but will also consider business/commerce qualification
- Excellent communication skills with strong negotiation capabilities.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills.
- Experience selling services from initial contact through to contract closure.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce/HubSpot/Microsoft Dynamics
- Demonstrated success in consistently exceeding sales goals and targets.
- Strong organisational and people management skills.
- Strong presentation & communication skills.
- Preferable to have 2 or more years’ experience in a similar role
Person Brief
The ideal candidate will be someone who displays outstanding interpersonal and networking skills. You should be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and staff. As you will have oversight of a number of different client accounts at different stages of development, you will also need to display excellent client account and time management skills.
You should be able to collaborate with other key internal stakeholders to drive the business forward and achieve your goals. You must combine these qualities with strong organizational skills and, particularly, a keen eye for detail.
Effective presentation skills combined with the creativity to sell and market SL Controls key service offerings are essential characteristics required for this role.
While this role is remote you must be available to travel 2 days per week to office or customer locations.
