Role Brief

The Automation Systems Safety Engineer role will provide technical and process support across multiple production generations, including expert support in machine safety system design, verification, and validation. This includes corrective and preventive actions; communication of company standards and regulatory requirements, identifying and sharing transferrable practices, and providing necessary support for the site’s Machine Safety Programs.

Skills Brief

  • Strong automation industry experience and knowledge of related machines and systems
  • TUV Nord certification and/or CMSE certification is essential
  • Experience with a variety of generational technologies
  • Project management skills and the ability to lead engineering resources and manage external vendors
  • Change Request Management experience
  • “Management of Change” projects experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 12100 and regulated Risk Assessment
  • Experience of review and creation of SISTEMA documentation
  • Full Project Life Cycle experience

Person Brief

The role requires an experienced Automation Machine Safety Engineer with an Engineering Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. You should have functional knowledge ISO 13849-2 and ISO 12100 and other relevant standards. TUV Certification Rhineland, CMSE or equivalent safety certification is essential in the role. Strong functional knowledge in the areas of SISTEMA and AUTOCAD are also required.

The role is based onsite in Limerick so you must be living within a reasonable commute of the site or willing and able to relocate to the area before your start date.
