We are really looking forward to hosting a seminar on Data Integrity for over 100 professionals from the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Ireland.
\nThe seminar will be held in the Model Art Centre on November 16th and we are delighted to bring it to Sligo; the first time the seminar will be held outside a large city in Ireland. The delegation of engineering professionals working in the Pharmaceutical and related industries will also enjoy a tour of the local AbbVie plant as part of the conference.<\/p>\n
We have lined up an exciting afternoon of talks with representatives from AbbVie Ireland, Amgen, Pfizer plus our own CTO, Shane Loughlin along with industry leaders from other leading Pharmaceutical companies. The hot topics for discussion include \u2018Designing Data Integrity into Equipment\u2019 by our CTO Shane Loughlin and \u2018Data Integrity in a Mature Quality Environment\u2019 by Ann-Marie Ward of AbbVie. Chris Ryan from Amgen will discuss \u2018The use of justified and documented risk assessments to decide on data integrity controls for computerised systems\u2019 which promises to be informative and enlightening.<\/p>\n
Data Integrity is a current topic following a number of warning letters issued recently by the FDA and other global regulatory authorities related to data integrity along with new draft guidelines issued earlier this year by The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC\/S). The guidelines help ensure that data integrity is maintained during the process of testing, manufacturing, packaging, distributing and monitoring of medicines.<\/p>\n
