Here at SL Controls we believe that great employees are key to the success of our business. With this in mind we hold an annual company outing to thank our employees for their dedicated hard work throughout the year. As with every year it is not an easy task to pick a team building event that is bigger and better than the year before and more importantly, that all employees will enjoy!<\/p>\n

This year we travelled to Offaly to do The Croghan Hill Challenge<\/a>. There was a lot of talk throughout all offices as to what the challenge would involve and as the day approached the excitement (and nerves) were building. We started off the day with some ice breakers by dividing into teams. This is very beneficial as with offices throughout the country it is hard for us all to get to know each other.
\nRight from the start the competition started to rise between teams. The ice breakers consisted of balancing poles, the conveyor belt, the caterpillar and the ski\u2019s to name but a few. All of these activities involved communication skills, problem solving and leadership skills.<\/p>\n

When the ice breakers finished, we moved on to the tough one\u2026The Challenge! The challenge was a 5km obstacle course consisting of tunnels, climbing, water, and slides. Oh such fun!! All employees threw themselves in to the challenge and thoroughly enjoyed it. After the challenge, we enjoyed some much needed refreshments and then on to the hotel to get ready for a night full of dancing and laughs.
\nThe annual company outing is a fantastic way to improve team performance by working together in teams on these fun, challenging activities in the great outdoors. We had a fantastic night in Tullamore and the laughs are continuing throughout the offices.<\/p>\n
